Weighted Average Calculation - Weighted Average Online Calculator - How to Calculate Weighted Average - Stock Weight Calculation

What is a weighted average? Tr    For example, here is the test score of a classmate of a classmate:
   Usually test 80, mid 90, end 95     The school's prescribed subject scores are calculated as:
   Usually test 20%;
    Mid-term grades account for 30%;
    Final grades account for 50%;
    Tr     Here, the proportion of each achievement is called the weight or weight. Then,
   Weighted average = 80*20% + 90*30% + 95*50% = 90.5
    Average of arithmetic = (80 + 90 + 95) / 3 = 88.3
    The above example is the case of known weights. The following example is the case of unknown weights:
    Stock A, 1000 shares, price 10;
    Stock B, 2000 shares, price 15;
    Arithmetic mean = (10 + 15) / 2 = 12.5;
    Weighted average = (10 x 1000 + 15 x 2000) / (1000 + 2000) = 13.33      In fact, in the case where the weights of each number are the same, the weighted average is equal to the arithmetic mean. Tr    Hint: The Dow Jones Industrial Average is the arithmetic mean, and the S&P 500 is the weighted average.
