Projection brightness calculation

Projection screen size calculator, projection distance counter

The energy that the light source radiates to the surrounding space per unit time and causes vision is called luminous flux. Expressed in Φ, the unit is lumens (Lm).

The luminous flux received per unit area is called illuminance and is expressed in E, unit lux (Lx).

E=Φ/S Φ-Luminous flux (Lm) S-Illuminated area (m2)

Conversion relationship:

1 lux = 1 lumens luminous flux evenly distributed over an area of 1 square meter of illumination;

1 lumen = point source with a luminous intensity of 1 candela, luminous flux emitted in a unit solid angle;

1 lux = illuminance produced by a point source with a luminous intensity of 1 candela on a spherical surface with a radius of 1 m.
